PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN AKDEMISTANBUL AND TRT FOR DISCOVERING NEW TALENTS
Within the framework of the TRT Talent program, TRT will work in partnership with Akdemistanbul to determine the Arabic proficiency levels of candidates.
A program called TRT Talent was launched by TRT to select talented Turkish youth from different countries around the world to be employed in TRT World and TRT Arabi.
The TRT Talent program provides many opportunities for Turkish youth. The program aims to increase Turkish youth’s roles in the field of media and develop their media skills, to provide opportunity for these young people to meet and work with a team of journalists and media professionals who are experts in their field on television channels in Istanbul, which is the intersection point of many cultures and civilizations. Moreover the program will provide job opportunities for those who have successfully passed the last stage of the program.
Candidates who will apply for this program must have Arabic and English language skills, have a good knowledge of media tools and the journalism industry, have Turkish citizenship or a blue card.
Applicants will be tested to measure their language proficiency after the General AptitudeTest. In this context, the Arabic Proficiency Exam prepared by the expert team of the Akdem Test Center within Akdemistanbul will be applied to the candidates who apply to the TRT Talent program with the agreement signed with TRT.
The exam applied by the Akdem Test Center covers four skills of the language. The written part of the exam will be held on an online platform over the Internet, and then the candidates will have an oral interview. The exam will be held on 13-16 April 2021.
Candidates who successfully complete the language proficiency exam and move to the final stage will enter an interview with the human resources department and Tv channel managers. Finally, in order to understand which positions are more suitable for the candidates in the fields of media and journalism, personality inventory tests will be applied.
