Akdem Copyright and Translation Agency is participating in the activities of the 6th Istanbul Fellowship Program.The organization of this global event is supervised by the Turkish Publishers Association, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Culture, with the media sponsorship of TRT and Anatolia News Agency. 345 publishing houses from 60 countries around the world participate in this event.
The program is an opportunity to exchange ideas between international publishing houses, the transmission of literature between languages through translation, and the sale and purchase of intellectual property rights.
As the program returns in its new look this year by taking into account the Corona measures, the decision was made to establish the program in a dual manner, where some publishers will attend and the rest will be able to participate remotely.
What distinguishes this session is the presence of Azerbaijan as a guest of honor for this international event, as the focus is on Azerbaijani literature this year. Focusing on the literature of a specific country is the new concept of this year in this event.
Azerbaijan was chosen to raise global awareness and introduce the ancient Turkish language. Many cultural and artistic events will be held, hosting some Azerbaijani poets and writers.
