Directorate General of Religious Education (DÖGM) Arabic Teaching Methodology Seminars have started.

Arabic Teaching Methodology Seminars, one of the three projects launched to strengthen Arabic education in Anatolian imam hatip secondary schools, started on Friday, December 23, 2022.

In cooperation with the Ministry of National Education General Directorate of Religious Education and Akdemistanbul, "Arabic Teaching Improvement Projects" were launched in November in order to improve foreign language education in imam hatip schools, to support the teaching of Arabic and Vocational Arabic courses taught in these schools and to improve the professional knowledge, skills and attitudes of our teachers who teach these courses.

The Arabic Teaching Methodology Seminars, to which 2,166 Arabic, vocational courses in imam hatip high schools and religious culture and ethics teachers from across Turkey applied, started with an in-cycle opening program on Friday, 23 December 2022 at 19.00.

 The first seminar on "New Strategies in Arabic Vocabulary Teaching" was presented by M. Cemal ALHUŞAN, Lecturer at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. A pleasant seminar process was completed with the valuable comments of the teachers who participated in the seminar. It was stated that participating teachers will be presented with certificates of achievement and participation as a result of the digital exam applied after the seminar. 

The training program, which consists of 10 seminars of three hours each, is planned to be completed on March 17, 2023.
