The inaugural meeting of the International Union of Islamic Publishers, of which Akdem Publishing is among the founders, was held on 18.09.2021 at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University.At the meeting, which was attended by Islamic Publishers from 30 countries, the current situation and future of Islamic publishing around the world were discussed for two days. Publishers from all over the world, who are leading in terms of Islamic publishing in their own countries, have reached a joint decision on the establishment of an international union of Islamic publishers. The founding statement of the union, which is important in the context of combating Islamophobia and carrying out joint projects between publishers, has been completed. At the meetings chaired by Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Rector Prof.Dr. Mehmet Bulut, Akdem Publishing also took place with the participation of Dr. Muhammed Ağırakça, one of the members of the board of directors of the union. On this occasion, publishers had the opportunity to make important bilateral meetings and to evaluate the joint projects to be carried out with publishers from all over the world at the same time.
